Tailored Masterclass

Do you have specific questions regarding packaging recyclability EPR and or packaging legislation? We can tailor a presentation or workshop to your needs.

What does tailored mean?

Tailored means, that we are able to create a educative presentation or workshop tailored to your needs and specific questions or knowledge gaps you have specifically around the recycling of household packaging, its design, EPR and packaging legislation.

Where our standard Masterclassess (self-paced or online live sessions) are not enough, CIRCPACK builds the session around the questions the team actually needs answering. The presentation is fully adjustable to your needs but should focused on the following main topics:

Recycling: How household packaging is collected, sorted and reprocessed across the relevant markets, what the operational reality is on the MRF floor, and where the system limits design choices. Drawn from CIRCPACK auditors' day-to-day work inside Veolia's collection, sorting and reprocessing infrastructure.

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR): How EPR schemes work in the markets the team ships to, how fees are calculated, how eco-modulation translates recyclability into a fee level, and where the country-by-country differences are material to portfolio cost.

Packaging legislation: The regulations that drive the rest, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), the national VerpackG and German Mindeststandard, the UK pEPR and RAM, country-specific labelling rules, the EU Green Claims Directive etc. and how they interact with the recyclability and EPR picture.

These three topics form the spine of every session, but they are not the limit. Where the team has a specific question that sits outside or across the spine, CIRCPACK extends the focus to it.

For example:

  • Packaging format(s) that has failed a certification audit, and the design changes that would move it through the next one
  • An executive briefing on the cost trajectory of EPR fees across a defined set of markets
  • A regulatory deep-dive on a single Member State
  • A board or non-executive briefing on PPWR and on the regulatory exposure the company carries today
  • A green-claim review session for marketing and legal, ahead of a campaign that will reference recyclability or recycled content.
  • Other topics are always possible..

Sessions are scoped to the question, the audience and the available time. Most commonly, the presentations last for around 60- to 90-minutes obut can be extended to a half-day or full-day (in-person) workshop.

How to engage?

Reach out with a short brief: who the audience is, what they need to know, and the format that works for the team. We will come back with a session outline and the supporting materials before any work starts.
