The questions brand owners, packaging teams and consulting buyers most often ask about the Recycling Intelligence Platform before they engage. For questions not answered here, a CIRCPACK consultant takes the brief.
This page collects the questions most often asked by platform evaluators and current users — about how the data gets onto the platform, how it stays current, which countries are covered and how access plans are structured.
For platform-specific support, talk to an expert. For methodology depth, see the methodology explainer; for use-pattern examples, see the platform case studies.
Questions cluster around four themes; each theme links to deeper documentation.
How figures get on the platform — source attribution, MRF-floor audits, EPR scheme cross-references, annual revalidation. See the methodology explainer for full detail.
When data refreshes — fee tables within the working week of a scheme change; legislation, sorted-material and recycling-rate figures on an annual rotation.
How the 71 countries are chosen, how additions are scoped, and when per-country deep-dives are appropriate.
Plan tiers — single-seat, team, enterprise — and what each unlocks (API, bulk export, custom integrations).
The FAQ is most useful to three roles.
Teams scoping the platform before adoption — typically sustainability, regulatory and procurement working together.
Day-to-day operators who want a quick reference rather than a long methodology document.
Independent reviewers checking the defensibility of platform-derived claims for ESG disclosure.

The Platform is the CIRCPACK product that tracks the recyclability, collection, sorting, reprocessing and producer-fee context for packaging across more than 150 markets, every continent except Antarctica. Each market is documented against the same structured country report and rendered on a global map built from more than 100,000 data points.
The Platform is used by sustainability, packaging, regulatory and finance teams at brand owners and producers placing packaging on multiple markets. The current customer base includes 35+ Fortune 500 brand owners. Beyond those, the Platform is engaged by consulting firms working on packaging mandates for end clients, by retailers running private-label programmes that cross borders, and by industry associations and policy researchers (most recently EUROPEN in their EU-27 EPR study).
More than 150 markets, every continent except Antarctica. The United States is documented at state level and Canada at provincial level where the EPR scheme operates at that resolution. Each market is documented against the same 9-section country report structure.
Country reports are revised continuously by CIRCPACK analysts. Material changes (a new fee table, a delegated act, a new producer responsibility organisation, a change in bin colour or labelling rule) are reflected in the relevant section the working day they are known. The current revision date appears on every section.
Two parallel streams. The first is public sources: government environmental ministries, national statistical databases, peer-reviewed research, industry associations, EPR and deposit-scheme operators, legislative repositories, and industry media. The second is proprietary: Veolia Group operational data across the recycling value chain, direct input from CIRCPACK auditors and local experts in each market, and the operating signal from customers. The streams are cross-referenced and reconciled with the local network before any indicator is updated.
The maturity assessment for every market includes informal-sector activity alongside the formal collection and recycling channels that the official statistics capture. This is why a maturity ranking in a market with significant informal recovery is directly comparable to a ranking in a market with extensive formal infrastructure.
The Platform's underlying data combines the public reporting with CIRCPACK's operational view of the infrastructure in each market and the direct measurement from the Veolia operations that handle the material. The methodology applies the same recycling-system model and the same indicator structure to every market the Platform covers. The format-level resolution is materially deeper than the format coverage available in any other dataset on the market today, whether public or private.
Yes. Browser export is available for the standard report and map views. For enterprise customers, CIRCPACK delivers the same data into SAP Responsible Design and Production through pre-built User-Defined Reports, and the Packaging Fee Calculator is the CIRCPACK-hosted self-service product over the same underlying dataset.
Existing customers reach the Platform at recore-circpack.veolia.com with their account credentials. Prospective customers begin with a guided session: a CIRCPACK consultant takes the brief, opens the Platform on the markets and packaging formats that matter, and walks through the relevant country reports against the brand owner's specific exposure.
