CIRCPACK is an accredited certification body of RecyClass.
RecyClass is a cross-industry, non-profit initiative that sets a harmonised methodology for assessing the recyclability of plastic packaging in Europe. Its scheme is built on the RecyClass Recyclability Methodology and the Design for Recycling Guidelines, according to EN 13430, and covers the full recycling chain in their assessments: collection, sorting, recycling and end-application.
CIRCPACK is an Approved Auditor and certification body for RecyClass for plastic packaging. We perform the third-party audit and issue the certificate; the assessment is carried out against the methodology version current at the time of audit, and certificates are valid for three years.
If your packaging is not plastic, CERTIFY certifies glass, metals, paper and cardboard, and RECY:CHECK certifies food and beverage cartons.

Once you have signed our formal proposal and we have received all required input data, the process starts.
Based on your packaging format we run required operational sorting tests or lab tests. You will be informed about any results obtained on the way.
After performing all physical tests we will, based on your input data, perform a theoretical assessment of the recyclability of your packaging using RecyClass's most recent methodology.
You will receive access to the RecyClass online tool. Here you will be able to download the audit report and the certificate. We will also schedule a final call with you to answer any open questions.

Three years from the date of issue, unless RecyClass updates the methodology in a way that materially changes the assessment. CIRCPACK offers a discounted re-test for design changes during the validity window.
Yes. The certificate is recognised across all EU EPR schemes that reference RecyClass for eco-modulation. CIRCPACK can also generate scheme-specific documentation on request.
